Ajaz Khan in Trouble:Ullu App Show Sparks Political & Public Backlash
Actor Ajaz Khan is facing significant backlash over his OTT show House Arrest, streamed on the Ullu App. A viral clip from the show, where Khan is seen prompting contestants to demonstrate intimate positions on camera, has ignited widespread outrage. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo motu cognizance of the matter and summoned both Khan and Ullu App CEO Vibhu Agarwal for a meeting on May 9 to address concerns regarding the show’s content.

Political figures, including Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi and BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, have condemned the show’s explicit content. Chaturvedi highlighted that while the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting had previously banned 18 OTT platforms for streaming obscene content, platforms like Ullu and Alt Balaji were not included in the ban. She has called for stricter regulations to prevent such content from being accessible to the public.
The controversy has also led to public outcry on social media, with many users demanding more stringent censorship of OTT platforms. The incident underscores the ongoing debate about content regulation in the digital streaming space and the need for clear guidelines to ensure responsible broadcasting.
